Hub reader Marion suggests that renaming the position of teacher librarians could help convey the importance of libraries in schools. I’m right with you on that point, Marion, as long as it happens at a state or federal level. There’s no point tackling one school at a time, we’ve learnt that from experience.
So what could teacher librarians be known as? Nominations are open (Marion has started with “Head of information services”) and then we’ll run a poll next week to see what people like. My husband, who mistakenly thinks he is funny, suggests “Baldrick”.
